Variable Differential Pressure Control Strategy for Variable Water Flow Air Conditioning Systems

In large-scale air conditioning water systems, variable flow (VWF) control strategies are frequently utilized to conserve energy. This paper presents a differential pressure (DP) set-point strategy for VWF systems based on the pipeline characteristic curve. bifurcates most unfavorable loop into two segments: equivalent main pipe (EMP) and terminal branch (MUTBP). Initially, impedance of EMP is obtained by curve fitting measured values supply return pipes (WSRMP), as well MUTBP. Subsequently, calculating disparity between DP actual EMP, comparing it with MUTBP, optimal working condition point operation can be identified. Finally, theoretical calculation conducted typical system. adjustment achieves an energy-saving rate 15.27%, 12.10%, 11.50%, respectively, under three conditions closing nearest terminal, middle compared constant WSRMP. boasts fewer devices, simple system, better operability engineering applicability than other strategies.
